The second-generation Captur debuted at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show and arrived on SA roads in 2023. Similar to the Clio V, it is based on the newer CMF-B platform and measures 4 227 mm long, 1 576 mm high and 1 797 mm wide (larger than the previous gen). The latest model is currently available in two variants: the Zen and the Intens. The range-topping Intens variant stands out with its black roof and windscreen pillars and features similarly sized alloy wheels. It is also equipped with a 9.3-inch vertical infotainment system and a bunch of convenience features like wireless phone charging, heated leather steering wheel, floating centre console, blind spot detection, lane departure warning, and three driver-selectable driving modes (Sport, Eco, and Normal). The 113 kW turbo engine co-developed with Daimler delivers 270 Nm of torque. Did You Know? The second generation Renault Captur is positioned as an “upper B-segment” SUV and is the second car to use the new B-segment platform at Renault. It is available in six exterior colours: Passion Red, Ocean Blue, Marine Blue, Oyster Grey, Mercury Silver, and Ivory White. |
